A little side hustle/hobby of mine is the Ebay store I created with my mom a year ago. We flip things from places like estate sales, garage sales, thrift stores, etc.
It’s something I love doing. The hunt is thrilling, you never know what you’ll find or what will catch your eye and when it sells I’m happy that I’ve found something that someone really wanted.
We like to deal mostly in unique home decor pieces, usually with designer names. It doesn’t have to be high end, just unique and nice looking. We have a lot of fun with it!
Anyway, I thought I’d start to add updates on here about how things are going with the store. We’ve had some surprisingly good sales in the last few days (summer is a tough time) and I know I always like to hear about what other Ebayers are selling, so here’s what’s gone from our store:
Boleslawiec Large Bowl
Sold: $55 +shipping.
I believe my mom purchased this beautiful bowl. We listed it as having moose on it, but now that I look I believe those are elk. Oh well!
A great sale, I’m not sure how much she paid for it, but I know it was nowhere near $55. Worth it though, such a pretty dish!
Pride In Tobacco Trucker Hat
Sold: $20 +shipping
I picked this hat up at an estate sale for $1!
When I saw it, I fell in love for a few reasons:
- You don’t see many products supporting tobacco anymore. So it’s rare.
- Someone who worked in tobacco might be drawn to this.
- Vintage and a snapback = trendy!
2004 Starbucks Barista Rainbow Mug
Asking Price $15 +Shipping
Sold: $10 +Shipping
Paid $1 for this mug. Starbucks mugs always do well for us. I love buying and selling mugs mostly because I love them myself, but also because they are relatively cheap to find and easy to mail.
Bethany Lowe Easter Figurine
We Paid: $6
Sold: $50 +Shipping
Such a cool piece! We actually JUST got this at an estate sale on Saturday. We posted it that day and by the next morning someone had put in an offer for $50 and we went with it.
Sometimes things sell really quickly like that. Right time, right buyer. We got pretty lucky with this piece. Always look and post seasonal stuff, cause you never know who’s looking!
Precious Moments Boy
Asking price: $28 +Shipping
Sold: $20 +Shipping
I wouldn’t normally suggest buying Precious Moments. But he was super cute and there weren’t any other listings of him on Ebay, so we took a chance.
We priced him kind of high at $28 because he was “rare” on Ebay and figured we would take an offer. So we were happy with $20!
Anthro Butterfly Trinket Dish
Asking Price: $22
Sold: $18
I would have never suspected this was Anthro! My mom picked it up at an estate sale a couple weeks ago.
It looks very vintage. I think we paid something like $3 for it. Not a spectacular flip, but still a good time.
